Growing your hair becomes easier with a Long hair planning consultation
I work in Marchmont Street in Bloomsbury, it’s a very central area which is close to Russell Square and Kings Cross stations. I have been based here for the last 18 years first as a salon owner then as an independent stylist and also as a salon marketing consultant. The point here is not my experience ( 46 years) or my location but what things make clients become regular customers?. One thing is I help clients work out a plan to grow their hair.
Over the years in my experience as a hairstylist I have heard two recurring themes more than any others.
- "I can never grow my hair beyond a certain point"
- " Hairdressers always cut my hair too short"
I used to think to myself that must be wrong! However as the years went by I could see it was true. Logically, well at least to me the answers were simple.
- the client was doing something wrong in the care of their hair or they were getting bored and cutting it.
- The stylist was not listening to the length required.
a complete fallacy is if you don't cut your hair it will grow longer, in fact it becomes damaged and eventually you have to cut more
If I don't consult with my clients I can't give them what they want, the length will always be wrong because I didn't listen.
Every long hair planning appointment starts with a consultation to determine target length and care plan. I'm going to be listening and asking lots of questions. Every six weeks we are going to dust the hair with the scissors, this keeps the hair from splitting. We are going to carry out a treatment to restore the hairs moisture levels and I will guide you on how to take care of your hair at home. The first appointment will take a couple of hours and costs £90. I will then get you set up with a plan to achieve your target length.
